Shirley H. (Hamilton) Roossinck

Shirley Jean (Hamilton) Roossinck went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on the morning of October 1st, 2016.  She was in her 90th year.   She was in fellowship with those gathered to the name of The Lord Jesus at 414 Lake Drive, Fremont. 

Shirley was born on October 11, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan.  She moved to Los Angeles, California when she was eight years old, and lived in Los Angles until she married John A. Roossinck on August 15, 1949.  They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.  She and her husband John lived and raised their family on the Roossinck Fruit Farm for many years; later moving into Fremont, and most recently she lived at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. 

She is survived by her loving husband, John A Roossinck; children Ralph (MaryAnn) Roossinck, John (Shirley) Roossinck, and Susan (Bernie) Hayhoe .  She was adored and loved by her grandchildren:  Ryan (Kara) Roossinck, Heather Roossinck, Eric (Elizabeth) Roossinck, Kevin (Michelle) Roossinck, Eileen (Andrew)  VandenBerg , Rebekah (Brandon)  Walters , Glen (Natalie) Hayhoe, Rosemary Hayhoe, and Jennifer (Matthew) Sjaarda, and great grandchildren:  Evan, Lauren, Asa, James, Sydney, Sienna, Kaden and Kennedy Roossinck;  Emma, Drew, and Mary VandenBerg; Hannah, Zachary and Miles Walters; and Rachel and Diana Hayhoe. 

She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Mary Roossinck; dear daughter-in-law, Robin Roossinck; her parents, Douglas and Marie Hamilton; and her brother, James Hamilton.

Shirley devoted her life to her husband, her family, and her Saviour.  She was well-known and loved within the family for her wonderful cooking, including homemade bread, pies and cookies.  She spent time volunteering within Fremont, sharing her love of Jesus.

Friends and family will be received at the Kroeze Wolffis Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 (visitation at 10:30 a.m.)  Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Fremont. Suggested Memorial:  Bible Truth Publishers in Addison, Illinois.
