Sophia Sue (Tarando) Chiapetta

Mrs. Sophia Sue Chiapetta, age 87 years of Fremont, MI. & formerly of Boca Raton, FL. & Palos Hills, IL., went to Heaven on Wednesday afternoon, May 3, 2017.  She was born on March 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel & Carmelina (Lillian) (Albertelli) Tarando.  She had been a homemaker, and she had attended Boca Community Church in Boca Raton, FL.  Sophia was an artist, seamstress, singer, and fabulous Italian cook.  On May 8, 1948 she married Dominic Chiapetta and he survives her along with 2 daughters:  Sharon (Nick) Nicholas of Fremont, MI., Cindy Chiapetta of Land O Lakes, FL.; 4 grandchildren:  Steve (Mychelle) Nicholas, Christy (John) McSorley, Nicole (Edward) Burke, Danielle Loftus; 5 great grandchildren:  Austin, Cameron, & Katie Nicholas, Gianna & Edward Burke III; 1 sister, Irene (Doug) Greiner of Spring Arbor, MI.; and by several nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Lamos officiating.  Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10-11 AM, and interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
