TY Hamilton, age 80 was promoted to Heaven on July 25, 2018. He was born in Pikeville, KY on July 26, 1937.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Hamilton and Naomi (Morgan) Hobson, brother, DJ Hamilton and sister, Peggy Edmonds. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma (Daniels) Hamilton, children Terry (Pat) Hamilton their daughter; Tracy (Josh) Mckinnon, Beverly (Mike) Berg, their children; Amanda (Justin) Kiesgen, Jessie (Katie) Kludy, Lacey (B’David) Herin, Chance Berg, Cody (Whtini Roach) Berg, Julie (Larry) Richards, their children; Bob (Sara) Richards, Liz (Aaron) Cregg, Ray Richards, Craig (fiance' Pat Smith) Richards, Michael (Julie) Hamilton their children; Shaina (Arthur) Knapp, Jackie Hamilton (fiancé Paul Peplinski), Mike (Holli) Hamilton, Todd (Leslie) Hamilton and their children; Cole Hamilton and Hannah Hamilton. TY was also blessed with 30 great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; His sister, Maggie Sword, several brothers and sisters in law, and nieces and nephews.
TY met and married Norma Daniels in 1957. He later moved his family to Michigan. He worked as a journeyman millwright at Campbell, Wyatt and Cannon for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
Besides spending time with family, TY enjoyed many hobbies. He rode bucking broncos in the rodeo in Muskegon, and broke many wild mustang horses. He was a master mechanic and spent hours working on friends’ vehicles. He was an active union member. He was a steward, chief steward, committeeman, trustee, and representative to the Nationals.
TY was a Lifetime member of VFW and The American Legion in Holton. He was also a member of Kentucky Freewill Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY. TY attended Newman Chapel, Shelby, MI.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Don Byker officiating. Interment will be in Otto Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-5 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018.
