Thelma D. (Nordwall) Chrystler Hagen

Mrs. Thelma D. Chrystler Hagen, age 94 years of Fremont, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2018.  She was born on April 9, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan to Hjalmer & Olga (Peterson) Nordwall.  Thelma had been an LPN at Gerber Hospital & at the Meadows Nursing Home in Fremont until her retirement.  She was a member of Reeman Christian Reformed Church, and the Secret Pal Club of Brunswick/Holton.  Thelma loved to read and travel.  On November 30, 1946 she married Harold Chrystler and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1982.  On June 12, 1987 she married Arnold Hagen and he preceded her in death on September 8, 1995.  Thelma was also preceded in death by her sons, Kenneth & Don Chrystler; by her daughter, Carol Halverson; and by her grandson, Max Chrystler.  She is survived by 6 children:  Shirley (Gary) Nelsen, Paul Chrystler, Nancy Chrystler, Larry Chrystler, Wayne (Lori) Chrystler, & Ron Chrystler; 15 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren; and by 1 sister, Lois Anderson.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 6-8 PM on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Clark Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Reeman Christian Reformed Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
