Travis Matthew Bishop

Mr. Travis Matthew Bishop,  age 38 of Fremont, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 as the result of a single car accident that occurred on Friday morning, and is now rejoicing in Glory.  He was born on June 24, 1980 in Monroe, Michigan to Leo C. & Nancy Gail (Burke) Bishop.  He  graduated from State Line Christian School in 1999, and later met Emily J. Brown, who he married on October 6, 2012, in an art class at Spring Arbor College.  Travis Matthew was very creative, artistic, and he loved music, being outside & having campfires, and spending time with his son Gavain.  He was currently employed by Spectrum Health, and he actively attended Harvest Fremont.  Travis Matthew is survived by his wife, Emily (Brown) Bishop; son, Gavain David Bishop; parents, Leo & Nancy Bishop of Erie, Michigan; brother, Aaron (Sarah) Bishop of Elyria, Ohio; nieces, Noel & Harley Bishop; father-in-law & mother-in-law, James Mark & Jackie E. Brown of Fremont; brother-in-law, Curtis J. Brown; grandparents:  Betty Marie Burke of Ida, Michigan, Barbara J. Bishop of Britton, Michigan; and by many aunts, uncles, & cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Burke.  A memorial service will be held in memory of Travis Matthew to celebrate his life at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Fremont with his pastors from Harvest Fremont officiating, Eric Klingel & Dan Cook.  There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 3-6 PM on Sunday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Emily Bishop to help with expenses of raising Gavain.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
