Walter LeRoy Harrald

Mr. Walter LeRoy “The Old Man” Harrald, age 78 of Hesperia, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019.  He was born on November 21, 1940 in Green, Iowa to Albert & Thelma (Crosby) Harrald.  He had been employed by Sun Chemical for 31 years until his retirement.  Walter had owned & operated Harrald’s Christmas Trees in Hesperia, and he was a member of the Michigan Christmas Tree Growers Association.  He also enjoyed fishing & hunting.  On June 13, 1961 he married Norma Kay Allen and she survives him along with 3 children:  Theresa (Lynn) Kuhns, Leesa (Wayne) O’Neil, Michael “Mick” (Lisa) Harrald; 7 grandchildren:  Justin, Sindle, Ashlee, Ben, Caitlin, Kelsey, & Krissa; 2 great grandchildren, Walter & Mabel; 1 sister, Betty Archer; sister-in-law, Alberta Harrald; brother-in-law, Bob Miller; and many nieces & nephews. He was also surrogate dad to Jackie, Jake, & Jill.  Walter was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Miller; and by 2 brothers,   William & Frank Harrald.  A Celebration of Walter’s Life will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Lucky Fulton officiating.  There will be a luncheon & time to visit with the family in the Michigan Room at Transitional Health Services of Fremont immediately following the service at the funeral home.  Suggested Memorial:  Amazing Grace Acres Church for the Children's Community Christmas.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
