Aaron Michael Gunn

Aaron Michael Gunn, age 33, passed away the night of Friday, February 6, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born June 2, 1992 in Jackson, Michigan to Michael Gunn and Michelle Drake. Aaron graduated from Fremont High School in 2011 and was a housekeeper and cook in the hotel industry. He loved the outdoors, especially the lake. His favorite activities were kayaking, hiking, biking, rock hunting, camping, hammocking, and most of all cooking. He was an incredible cook with his specialty being Asian cuisine. He adored his two dogs! Huck, a highly spirited salty toy Australian Shepherd, and Harvey baby, the sweetest German Shepherd ever created. (Aaron’s dogs now reside with their granny Shell.) He also took great pride in raising his pet tarantulas and chicken coop of hormonal laying hens. Aaron is survived by his mother Michelle Drake, his father Mike (Deb) Gunn, his brother Alec Gunn, bonus sister Lacey (Andy) Stanley, bonus brother Jacob Drake, his partner Joshua Anderson, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aaron was preceded in death by his stepfather William F Drake 12/4/2025, his bonus sister Ashley V. Drake 7/5/2014, and his grandfather Larry Gunn 5/29/2024. A celebration of life will be held at the Stone Lodge in Fremont, Mi. on Saturday, July 11th from 1 to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Suicide Prevention and Awareness Organization.
