Alfred "Al" Inman Obituary

Alfred “Al” Sidney Inman, age 79 of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Medilodge Grand Traverse County in Traverse City, Michigan.  He was born on June 21, 1943 in Munising, Michigan to Theron & Irene (Cremer) Inman.  Al had been captain of an oyster boat in the Florida Keys.  He had also owned 2 businesses, the Dented Can Store in Groveland, Florida and a Military Surplus Store in Groveland, Florida.  He loved to tinker, he was a collector of many things, and he raised many different kinds of birds.  Al took care of and raised a lot of grandchildren.  On August 2, 1973 he married Helen M. (Battin) and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2021.  He was also preceded in death by children, Thomas L. Burns & Nannette C. Skivers; grandson, Nicholas Skivers; brother, Ted Cremer; and by his sister, Mary Bonneau.  Al is survived by children:  James W. Burns III, Forrest G. (Vikki Zeckzer) Burns, Cherry M. (Ron) Walton; son-in-law, Kem Skivers; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren; sister, Agnes Richmond; brother, Theron Inman; and by several nieces & nephews.  A family gathering will be held at a later date.  Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the funeral home to help with a cemetery monument.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
