Alisa Anne Phillips, age 60 of Bridgeton Township, passed away on Friday morning, June 16, 2023. She was born on July 1, 1962 in Fremont, Michigan to Norman George & Viola Mae (Schnepp) Griffin. Alisa was a beautiful person inside and out. She was an exceptional wife and mother. Alisa cared deeply for the people around her. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed. Alisa loved children and was known for her in-home daycare. And she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was well-love and happy. Her grandchildren (and numerous honorary grandchildren) referred to her as Nana. When not with family and friends, she could be found spending time with her beloved dog(s) who were like her second children. On February 9, 1985 she married Jimmy Phillips, and he survives her along with her children: Salena (Brandon) Baker, & Jessica Phillips; two grandchildren Hope Monet and Auston James; sisters & brothers: Sheila (Barry) Saylor, George (Jenny) Griffin, Carmen (Dennis) Davis, Warren Olson Jr.; and by many nieces & nephews. Alisa was preceded in death by her parents: Norman Griffin, Viola Olson, & Warren Olson; and by her sister, Norma Georgette. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life and luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 3 – 6 PM at the Gerber Guest House in Fremont, MI. You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com. Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
