Barbara Jean (Harmsen) Buitendorp

Mrs. Barbara Jean Buitendorp of Fremont, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025 at the age of 82.  She was born to James and Dena (Nyman) Harmsen on June 22, 1942 in Grand Haven, Michigan and married Alvin Buitendorp on October 18, 1962.  Barbara was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, and she had been a Dental Assistant for Dr Premo, DDS in Fremont where she had been employed for 22 years until her retirement.  Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years Alvin Buitendorp of Fremont, Michigan; 3 daughters; Julie (Brian) Burgess of Houston, Texas, Peggy (Stephen) Camiller of Hudsonville, Michigan, and Kathy Buitendorp of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; Melissa (Sean) Tracey, Braden, Brooklyn, and Blake of Dallas, Texas, Matthew (Rebecca) Burgess, Nora and Hannah of Lekki, Nigeria, Joshua (Candace) Camiller, Connor, Jack, and Sophia of Niceville, Florida, Bradley (Colleen) Camiller of Coopersville, Michigan, and Justin Camiller of Hudsonville, Michigan; brother-in-law Jerry (Bonnie) Buitendorp of Mesa, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews and their families.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dena (Nyman) Harmsen; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Clarence and Dora (Jolink) Buitendorp; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sharon (Hansen) Harmsen; brother-in-law Carl Buitendorp. Visitation will be held at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025.  The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Drew Sweetman officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
