Barbara Ann (Feistamel) Gillette

Barbara Ann Gillette, age 88 of Fremont, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at The Cottages at Martin Lake.  She was born on June 12, 1933 in Paw Paw, Michigan to George & Helen (Schadi) Feistamel.  Barb had been a secretary at Cedar Street School in Fremont for 25 years until her retirement in 1992.  She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fremont.  Barb loved to travel, and spend time in Arizona as well as with her family.  On December 6, 1952 she married Jack C. Gillette and he survives her along with 5 children:  Richard (Cathy) Gillette, Randal (Donna) Gillette, Raene (Guy) Redinger, Ryan (Mary Lou) Gillette, Rochelle (Michael) Sajdak; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, & 2 great-great grandchildren.  Barb was preceded in death by 3 brothers & 3 sisters.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at First Reformed Church in Fremont.  Interment will be at a later date in Reeman Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  The Cottages at Martin Lake, or Heartland Hospice of Newaygo County.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
