Barbara L. (White) Maus

Barbara L. Maus, age 85 of White Cloud, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 14, 2022 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.  She was born on July 22, 1937 in Brittonwoods, Michigan to Stewart & Wiona (Farrier) White.  Barbara was retired from Wolverine Worldwide in Big Rapids, where she had been employed for 32 years.  She was an excellent bowler, and had bowled several 300 games.  She also loved to watch the deer and the birds out her patio doors while sitting in her recliner chair.  On June 9, 1956 she married Jack “Rusty” Maus and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Carole White, and by her brother Ken White.  Barbara is survived by 6 children:  Russell Maus of Las Vegas, NV, Jackie (Steve) Yeck of Pentwater, Bonnie Hietikko of Las Vegas, NV, Crystal Allers of Las Vegas, NV, Veronica (Miki) Bliss of White Cloud, Vallerie (Wayne) Batch of White Cloud; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brothers & sisters:  Llewellyn White of National City, CA, Judy Becker of Big Rapids, Jerry (Marcia) White of White Cloud, Sandy Duke of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” White of Springville, UT; and by many nieces & nephews.  There will be no visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo County Compassion Home, 20 S.
