Bertha Mae (Clawson) Walton

Bertha Mae Walton, age 96 of Fremont, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 19, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on July 24, 1929 in Evart, Michigan to Archie & Minnie (VanDeCreek) Clawson.  Bertha had worked at New Era Canning Factory, and she had been a caregiver for seniors.  She liked to watch TV game shows, and cooking for many family members.  On April 22, 1950 she married William Walton and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1993.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Melton Walton; daughter, Diana (Shaw) Beebe; grandsons, Troy Walton & Danny Walton; granddaughter, Catrina Walton; and by her brother Joe Clawson.  Bertha is survived by 4 children:  Donald Walton, Ronald (Cherry) Walton, Judy Slagle, William (Theresa) Walton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren; brothers & sisters:  Donald (Jane) Lloyd, Rose Henson, Doris Bennett, Ronald (Glenda) Lloyd; and by many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 24, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Fremont with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  Interment will be at West Hesperia Cemetery.  Visitation will also be at the church from 11-12 Noon on Monday.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
