Betty Arlene (Terwillegar) Bell

Betty Arlene Bell, age 95, of Newaygo, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2024. She was born June 20, 1929 in Fremont to Owen and Gladys (Hansen) Terwillegar. She married James Bell on Oct. 6, 1950. She served many years as an election board official and worked part time in local dress shops. She loved spending time with family, was an avid bowler and enjoyed trips to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 62 years James and daughter-in-law Judy. She leaves behind her son, Edward Bell of Fremont; granddaughter Jacqueline (Brian) Miller (great-grandchildren Brody, Mackenzie and Logan) of Fremont; grandson Scott (Jacqueline) Bell (great-grandsons Joshua, Chase and Travis) of Frisco, Texas and son Kenneth Bell of Newaygo.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 27 at the Newaygo Congregational United Church of Christ (432 Quarterline) with Rev. Jonathan Riedel officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Corewell Health Hospice or Newaygo Congregational United Church of Christ.
