Betty Mae (Lang) Fisher

Mrs. Betty Mae Fisher, age 79 of Newaygo and formerly of Lansing, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018 with loved ones by her side.  She was born on May 6, 1939 in Lansing, Michigan to John & Edith (Mead) Lang. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook, and many requested her signature dishes prepared at family gatherings which she hosted quite often before her illness. She loved gardening, and raised pumpkins for her grandchildren when they were little. She also loved camping and volunteered for different organizations in her community. She loved listening to music and her favorite singer was Elvis. She is survived by 4 daughters:  Cindy (Alex) Pequeno of Florida, Edie Fisher of Newaygo, Yvonne (James Kelly) Perry of Fremont, Faye Fisher of Croton; 9 grandchildren: Regina Pequeno, Susie Pequeno, Ruby Pequeno, Betty Pequeno, Alex Pequeno, Tia Fisher, Austin Fisher, Cody Perry, Brandi Perry; & 1 great grandson, Johnny O'Brien; 3 brothers:  Jim (Cindy) Lang, Allen Lang, Don (Mary) Lang; and 1 sister, Marge Woodward.  There will be a time of visiting with the family from 4-6 PM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Croton Twp., Michigan.  Suggested Memorial:  Alzheimer's Association.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
