Boneeta "Bunny" Bee Semans

Mrs. Bonetta Bee “Bunny” Semans, age 75 years of Fremont, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. She was born on June 15, 1948 in Owosso, Michigan to Owen and Mildred (Price) Seward.

She went to Ovid High School and graduated in 1966. Bunny then took the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Sparrow Hospital. She later worked at Pine Medical in Fremont, and also owned and operated a home daycare. Bunny was selected in 1978 as the Farm Bureau State Queen. She married William Semans on October 14th 1967 at Middlebury Methodist Church, and they were members of the Hesperia United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Semans; 2 sons: Joel (Marti) Semans of Hesperia, and  Jason (Karin) Semans of Kanawha, Iowa; 6 Grandchildren: Keeghan (Nicole) Semans, Jacob Semans, Kennedee Semans, Megan Semans, Kerrigan Semans, Zoie Stapel; 1 Great grandchild, Myles Suits; Sister, Sharry Love. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Owen (Chip) Seward Jr.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Hesperia United Methodist Church, with her son, Pastor Jason Semans, officiating. A time to visit with the family and fellowship will follow the service in the church basement. Suggested Memorial: Hesperia United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
