Brett Thomas Kraley, Sr., age 53 of Hesperia, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. Brett was born on October 8, 1968, to Rich Kraley Sr., and Jean Kraley of Hesperia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corinne.
Brett was well known in his community for being the All-State linebacker of the Hesperia football team in 1987. Besides being a talented athlete, he also loved trips to the casino, playing competitive board games and cards at family gatherings, and was an avid consumer of world news. However, there was nothing Brett loved more than spending time with his children and grandchildren: daughter Alexis, her partner, John Yates, and their children, Zeb, Odin, and Kase; and son, Brett Kraley Jr.
Brett is also survived by his brother, Rich Kraley Jr., and sister-in-law, Julie, their daughters, Miranda and Gabriela; Rich’s daughter, Ashley Brown; sister Brandi Kraley; and sister Shay Kraley and her husband, Jeff Hayes. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Mary and Scott Crisman, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends who loved Brett unconditionally.
Brett was a talented and extremely bright individual with a big heart, and he is leaving an indelible mark on so many of us. A Celebration of Life will be held in Spring 2022 to honor him and the memories that we hold of him.
