Candace "Candy" Jo Brown

Candace Jo “Candy” Brown, age 74 of Fremont, MI. & formerly of San Luis Obispo, CA., passed away on Wednesday morning, September 15, 2021 at Green Acres Assisted Living in Fremont.  She was born on March 6, 1947 in Oakland, California to Andrew “Wally” & Marguerite “Peggy” (Bobba) Brown.  Candy had been a substance abuse counselor at Atascadero State Hospital in California, she had been involved in AA for 40 years, and she loved animals.  She is survived by 2 children:  Don (Courtney) Johnson, Amber (Tim) Kies; by her mother, Marguerite “Peggy” Magoffin; brother, Wally Brown; sister-in-law, Julie Brown; nephew & nieces:  Michael, Katie, & Christine; and by her dog, Meitu.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to a Humane Society of your choice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
