Carol Sue Frens, age 84 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1940 in Troy, Michigan to Harry & Lois (Darke) Larabee. Carol was a retired truck driver, and she was a member of Bethel Reformed OPC in Fremont. She was also a collector of many things. On November 21, 1958 she married Edward H. Frens, Sr. and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Jeffrey Frens in 1993 and Michael Frens in 2022; and by her sister, Patsy Rosema. Carol is survived by 3 children: Peggy Hart of South Carolina, Edward H. (Pamela) Frens, Jr. of Newaygo, Marjory Wiggers of Fremont; 9 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by 4 sisters: Pearl (Jim) Robertson, Lois Dorman, Susan Witmer, Polly Martin; and by many nieces & nephews. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Bethel Reformed OPC in Fremont with Pastor Vern Picknally officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10-11 AM on Monday. Suggested Memorial: Bethel Reformed OPC.
