Charlene "Char" Patricia (Shell) Thenikl

Charlene “Char” Patricia Thenikl, age 63 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday morning, January 7, 2023 at her home.  She was born on January 28, 1959 in Fremont, Michigan to LaVern Jay & Patricia Jane (Richardson) Shell, and grew up on a farm.  Char enjoyed flowers, gardening, and macramé.  She had 3 children & 8 grandchildren:  daughter Melissa Myszak of Grant, MI. & her children Shaelynn & Elijah; son Dennis Thenikl, Jr. (deceased) and his children Kaylee, Jadon, Brandon, & Aubrey; son Anthony (Jackie) Thenikl of Newaygo, MI. and his children Zander & Gracie.  Char’s father, LaVern J. Shell of Fremont survives her, and she was preceded in death by her mother Patricia J. Shell.  She is also survived by her brothers & sisters: Robert (Pamela) Shell of Fremont, MI., Roger Shell of Spring Lake, MI., Karen (Loren) Gillespie of Fremont, MI., Brenda (Michael) Raugh of Twin Lake, MI., Lauri (Dana) Gerrin of Wayne, MI.; and by many nieces & nephews.  There will be a luncheon & time to celebrate Char’s life from 2:30-5:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Inspire Church in Fremont, 918 Garden Ave, Fremont, MI.  49412.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. to help with expenses.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
