Clara M. Yob, age 101 of Fremont, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2020 at Green Acres in Fremont, MI. She was born on September 3, 1919 in Caspian, Upper Peninsula Michigan to Albino and Louise (Turini) Yob. Clara was a member of Christ The King Church, Hesperia and then a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont for over 90 years, where she had served as a Sacristan. She retired from Gerber Products Company after 40 years of dedicated service. Clara enjoyed watching EWTN – The Global Catholic Television Network, attending mass, praying, traveling with church members, attending retreats, visiting with friends & relatives, word searches, chocolates, and attending the Annual Yob Reunion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albino and Louise Yob; and by her sisters: Louise Barnhard in 1989, Mary Clark in 2012, and Anna Lause in 2018. Clara is survived by her Godchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her many family members and friends as a woman of strong faith, daily time in prayer, loving, kind-hearted, generous, and giving. God’s light shined forth through her. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Green Acres for their care and compassion. The Rosary will be prayed at All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2020, followed by visitation until 11:00 AM, and then the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM with Fr. Pete Schafer as Celebrant. Interment will be at All Saint’s Mount Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Suggested Memorial: All Saints Catholic Church.
