Dalia “Dolly” Aguilar Richardson, age 77, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 8, 2025 at Corewell Health Gerber Hospital in Fremont. She was born on December 21, 1947 in Alice, Texas to Francisco & Lina (Mallett) Aguilar. Dolly had been a Freight Claims Administrator at Gerber Products Company, where she had been employed for over 20 years. She had been a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Grant where she was the choir director, and she was currently a member of St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo. She was also a member of the Joyful Servants at St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo. Dolly loved dancing, cooking her Mexican food, and raising Shih Tzu puppies for 17 years. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Richardson of Newaygo; children: Hector A. (Maggie) Chapa of Alice, Texas, Abrian (Yvonne) Gutierrez of Big Rapids, Lenaila R. Six of Fremont, Lanora R. (Michael) Schutte of Hardy Dam, Fay Anderson of Twin Lake; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, & 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her step-children: Phil Richardson, Kathy Martin, Steven Richardson, Jennifer Greene; several step-grandchildren & step-great grandchildren; brothers: Juan Aguilar, Pete (Rosie) Aguilar, Gilbert (Edna) Aguilar; sister-in-law, Annabelle Aguilar; and by many nieces & nephews. Dolly was preceded in death by her grandson Anthony Chapa & by twin grandchildren; parents, Francisco & Lina Aguilar; brother, Francisco Aguilar; and by her sisters, Delia Coronado & Diana Aguilar. The Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo with co-celebrants Fr. Noah Thelen & Fr. Pete Schafer officiating. Interment will be at St Bartholomew Catholic Cemetery in Newaygo. Visitation will be at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM.
