David R. Ackerman

David R. Ackerman, age 78 of Fremont, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019.  He was born on April 20, 1941 in Muskegon, Michigan to Roger & Helen (David) Ackerman.  Dave was a kid who never grew up, and he was a man of many interests who enjoyed doing all of them with his family and friends.  He was also a member of Inspire Church, A Wesleyan Community.  On October 27, 1962 he married Ruth Dykman and she survives him along with 2 children, 6 grandchildren, & 8 great grandchildren.  Daughter Pamela Kaye (Michael) Bouwsma, their children Brent (Angie) Bouwsma & children Beck & Jase, Derek (Alex) Bouwsma & children Deke & Emery, Bethany (Austin) DeBlake & daughter Aaleyah.  Son Perry Ackerman , his children Ashley (Aaron) Sheldon & children Jaden, Emmie, & Ellie, Kyle Ackerman & Jaycie Ackerman.  Dave is also survived by his nephew & niece & their families:  Duane “Dewey” (Linda) Ackerman, Michelle “Missy Lynn” (Terry) Cazier.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother & his wife, Robert & Pam Ackerman.  There will be a time of visiting & refreshments with the family on Friday evening, December 6, 2019 from 6-8 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Inspire Church, A Wesleyan Community.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Inspire Church, A Wesleyan Community.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
