David C. Jaunese

David C. Jaunese, age 77 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 23, 2024 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.  He was born on April 30, 1947 in Muskegon, Michigan to Darien and Donna (Coverly) Jaunese.  Dave practiced law, serving the Newaygo County area for many years, and he was a 50 year active member of the State Bar of Michigan.  He enjoyed playing cards, especially with the Fremont Monday night card group.  Dave also enjoyed golfing, smoking cigars, and reading books.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Red Wings.  On July 7, 1967 he married Paula Henrickson and she preceded him in death on June 17, 2022.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister Sue Rouse.  Dave is survived by 1 son, Dave (Rachel) Jaunese, Jr.; 1 grandson, Ian Jaunese; brothers and sisters:  Mike (Julie) Jaunese, Jean (Bill) Schulz, Mark (Linda) Jaunese, Jim Jaunese, Carol (Gary) Shepherd, Kelly (Joe) Wright; and by many nieces and nephews.  According to his wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Dave’s life will take place in the Pavilion at Waters Edge Golf Course in Fremont from 1-3 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
