David Kandelac, age 78 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1944 in Muskegon, Michigan. Dave had owned & operated the Party Hardy Store in Muskegon, and he had previously worked at Westran in Muskegon as a crane operator. He enjoyed playing pool, and riding his motorcycle. He also liked race car driving, and he was a NASCAR fan. On October 20, 1973 he married Irene Stewart, and she survives him along with 4 children: Duane Kandelac, Craig (Yvonna) Kandelac, Sara (Todd Ekster) Kandelac, & Dawn (Bryan) Snuffer; 6 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Dave is also survived by his siblings: Judy (Ken) Canfield, Bonnie (Morrie Stahl) Riggs, Connie (Bob) Collins; and by many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara & George Loper; brother, Jerry Loper; and by his sisters, Elaine Church & Joyce De-Clerq. There will be a time to visit with Dave’s family to celebrate his life from 1-3 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.
