David H. Kemble

David H. Kemble, age 88 of Fremont, went to join his Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, May 23, 2024.  He was born on November 16, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to William & Ruth (Morman) Kemble. 

David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and loved spending time with his constant dog companion, Archie. He was a long-time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fremont and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Newaygo.  He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, reading, & history, and was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears.

David was married to his devoted wife, Barbara Magee Kemble for 63 years. She survives him along with 2 daughters:  Kate (Matt) Cermak of Empire, Michigan, Rachel (Jeff) Spalding of Houston, Texas; 3 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren:  Nichole (Joe) Mutka and their children Karah & Ben, Bob Cermak, Sarah (Thomas) Gordon and their children Alice & Eliza.  David is also survived by his brothers, John & Peter Kemble; sisters-in-law, Joan (Tom) Kemble & Susan (Dale) Wente; brother-in-law, Jim Magee; and by many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son, Bob Kemble; daughter, Amy Kemble; grandson, Joe Fotis, Jr.; brothers, Tom & Jim Kemble; and by his sister Mary Alice Kemble.
