David George Zuwerink, age 81 of Holton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 6, 2026. He was born on July 27, 1944 in Fremont, Michigan to George Raymond & Elizabeth “Betty” Anna (Allen) Zuwerink. David was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Holton Methodist Church, and he had been employed at Mid-West Spring & Stamping for 40 years until his retirement. David was an expert handyman, and he enjoyed hunting & fishing. He had also been involved with the Newaygo County 4-H Fair (Holton Happy Hustlers Horse Program). On July 16, 1967 he married Sue Ann Dake and she preceded him in death on September 20, 2022. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Phyllis Deuling & Nancy McClain; by his brother Ronald Zuwerink; and by his sister-in-law, Mary Zuwerink. David is survived by 4 children: David “Andy” Zuwerink, Michael Zuwerink, William “Will” (Lori) Zuwerink, Rachel (Josh) Cross; 8 grandchildren; by his brothers & sister: Renard “Ren” Zuwerink, Betty Anne (Bob) Anderson, George (Sally) Zuwerink; brother-in-law, Teryl “Terry” McClain; and by several nieces & nephews. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Holton Methodist Church with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. A luncheon and time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at church. Suggested Memorials: The Newaygo County Compassion Home, or Harbor Hospice.
