Delta Dawn (Wheeler) Gilde

Delta Dawn Gilde, age 44 of Grant, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2025.  She was the youngest daughter born to Robert Dale & Sandra Karen (Kreigh) Wheeler on February 18, 1981 in Fremont, Michigan.  Delta graduated from White Cloud High School in 2000, and she had been employed by Burger King for over 20 years.  She loved to be social, and she enjoyed crocheting, diamond art, word puzzles, and card games.  Delta loved her tattoo that said “My Story Isn’t Over”, and she was recently able to fulfill her dream of going to see Tanya Tucker.  She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jesse Gilde; 3 children:  Zachary Buck, Veronica (Cameron Cable) Buck, Phoenix Gilde; parents, Dale & Sandi Wheeler; 3 sisters:  Loretta (Eric) Gibson, Crystal (Steven) Harrison, Amanda (Larry Schoenmaker) Wheeler; 5 nephews, 4 nieces, 2 great-nephews & 1 great-niece; father-in-law, Larry Gilde; several aunts, uncles, & cousins, including a special uncle James Tice.  Delta was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Robert E. & Bonnie Wheeler, Milton & Alice Kreigh; uncle, Johnny Kreigh; aunts:  Elsie Meredith, Mabel Tice, Mary Ann Kreigh, Sally Wheeler, Kathy Hoye, & Linda; mother-in-law, Cheryl Ann Gilde; and by her great-grandparents:  Goldie & Klaus Voogt, Harold & Clara Kreigh, Harry & Julia Hinckley.  Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at the Branstrom Park Pavilion from 12-5 PM Saturday, June 28, 2025.  Suggested Memorials:  St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the American Diabetes Association.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
