Donna Louise (Tanis) Jones

Donna Louise Jones, age 91 of Holland & formerly of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026 at Resthaven Maple Woods Assisted Living in Holland.  She was born on February 7, 1935 in Fremont, Michigan to Richard “Rich” & Anna (Tibbe) Tanis.  Donna enjoyed quilting, games, cards & playing solitaire, baking, making barbie doll clothes, & reading magazines.  On March 21, 1953 she married Paul “Jimmy” Anderson Jones and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2026.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Barb Chollar.  Donna is survived by 5 children:  Richard (Diane) Jones, Linda (David) Barkel, Robin (Joel) Sweet, Paula (Marlin) Brandsen, Rhonda (Terry) Brandsen; 31 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother, Roger (Lori) Tanis; and by many nieces & nephews.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a Graveside Service for her and her husband will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 18,2026 at Reeman Cemetery with her grandsons Grant Brandsen and Jordan Barkel officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Resthaven Maple Woods Assisted Living in Holland.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
