Doris Babcock, age 94 of Twin Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Wednesday afternoon, February 22, 2023 from Legacy of Caring Assisted Living in Whitehall. She was born on April 18, 1928 in Springdale Township, Michigan to Lawrence & Mable Hale. Doris had owned & operated a Century 21 Real Estate Office in Muskegon for over 20 years, and she was a member of Fruitland Covenant Church. Her passion was her flower gardens, and she enjoyed bowling & golfing. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Justus "Chum" Babcock; son-in-law, Hobie Hill; brother & his wife, Louis & Ilene Hale; sister & her husband, June & Carl Molenar; and sister Marie Duty; brothers-in-law & their spouses: Edward & Emma Babcock, Chester & Marge Babcock, Clayton Babcock, Mitchell Babcock, Dennis & Judy Babcock; sisters-in-law & their spouses: Helen & Art Myers, Erma & Rich Kessler, Hazel & Byron Harold, June & George Myers, Alta "Sug" & Stan Harold. Doris is survived by 4 children: Phil (Jacqie) Babcock, Gary (Susan) Babcock, Marsha (Marlin) Sanford, Jan Hill; special nephew & his family, Bob Duty; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great granddaughters; 2 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Babcock & Judy Babcock; and many nieces & nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Fruitland Covenant Church with Pastor Carl Franzon officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at church, and visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Wednesday. Interment will be in the spring at Springdale Township Cemetery in Springdale Township, Michigan. Suggested Memorial: His Arms Children's Project.
