Edwin “Ed” Arnold Rhyndress, age 82 of Fremont, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, January 17, 2025, and is now walking on streets of gold. He was born on March 23, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to Clarence Murlin & Jennie Lizzie (Hempton) Rhyndress. Ed was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Revive Church in Hesperia, and he enjoyed fishing & bow hunting deer. On October 30, 1990 he married Sally Spalding and she survives him along with 3 children: Penny Penticuff, Eddie (Ellie Russell) Rhyndress, Duffy (Krista) Connolly; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. Ed is also survived by his sister, Judy Browning; 2 sisters-in-law, Penny Bacon & Amy Cole; and by several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Penticuff; brother, Chet Rhyndress; and by his brothers-in-law: Ron Bacon, David Walker, & Tom Cole. According to Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Suggested Memorial: Wounded Warrior Project.
