Ella "Brownie" Loraine (VanDeren) Fischer

Ella “Brownie” Loraine Fischer, age 95 of Fremont, passed away on Saturday afternoon, October 29, 2022 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. She was born on September 28, 1927 in Cochise County, Arizona to Edwin Browne & Minnie Vergie (Sanders) VanDeren. Brownie first worked at the Fremont Radio Station, and then she was a stay at home wonderful Mother to her 3 daughters. For several years she was an amazing Girl Scout Leader. She made sure her girls got to dance lessons, and she loved sewing for them. Family always came first to “Brownie” She later worked for Frank Bunce at the IGA grocery store once Jacki (her youngest) started school. Brownie also worked for Terry’s Furniture for many years until her retirement in 1989, at which time she moved to Tombstone, Arizona. She was an avid sports fan, anything on TV sports related she watched! She was a lifetime member of the American Legion in Tombstone, Arizona where she paid for a junior membership for all the girls. Ella was preceded in death by her former husband, Jack Fischer in 2012; daughter, Jacki Lynn Fischer in 1979; son-in-law, Edgar Hull in 2016; by her sister & her husband Velia Annette VanDeren (Jene) McGee, and by her sister Bonnie Deene VanDeren Acuna. She is survived by 2 loving daughters: Connie Hull of Grandville, Michigan, Debbie (Larry) Brant of Fremont; 4 grandchildren: Valarie (Rick) VanSickle, Marcie (Mike) Earl, Ryan (Stefanie) Brant, Kurt (Jolynn) Brant; 12 great-grandchildren: Alexis (Gage) Boss, Chase (fiancée Sophie Britton) VanSickle, Grace VanSickle, Mason & Mikalynn Earl, Liam & Stella Brant, KyLee, Kaden, & Kody Brant; and great-great granddaughter Ella Boss. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home on November 14, 2022 from 1-3 PM.
