Eugene "Gene" D. Lloyd

Eugene "Gene" D. Lloyd, age 95 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 27, 2023.  He was born on September 29, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan to Harold & Hazel (Schutt) Lloyd.  Gene was a US Army Veteran, and he had been an assessor for Jackson, Grand Rapids, and Monroe Michigan.  He had also been a judge on the Michigan State Tax Tribunal.  Gene enjoyed golfing, boating and being on the water, and spending winters in Florida.  On August 26, 1950 he married Elaine M. Burley and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2022.  He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers & 2 sisters. Gene is survived by 3 children:  Jeffrey Lloyd, Mark Lloyd, Christy (John) Lennon; 7 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating.  Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 AM.  Interment will be in Newaygo Cemetery.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
