Evelyn Mae (Poll) Parsons

Evelyn Mae Parsons, age 92 of Fremont, went Home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, November 23, 2024.  She was born on October 18, 1932 in Fremont, Michigan to John E. & Gertie (Brookhouse) Poll.  Evelyn was a homemaker, and she was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  She enjoyed doing lawn work, spending time with her family, and riding in her dune buggy.  On January 27, 1956 she married Grant C. Parsons, Jr. and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers & sisters:  Henry Poll, George Poll, Janet Porter, Marie Hansen, & Chuck Poll.  Evelyn is survived by 1 daughter, Debra (Duane) Hopkins of Fremont; 1 granddaughter, Maria (Ryan) Bolles of Hesperia; 2 great-grandchildren, Skyler & Hunter; special son & handyman, Dave Hartger of Fremont; sisters-in-law:  Janet (Rich) Deters of Fremont, Lyla Parsons of Hastings, & by her sister-in-law & best friend Shirley Poll of Croton.  She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Drew Sweetman officiating.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Tuesday.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
