Flossie B. (Phillips) VanAvery

Flossie B. VanAvery, age 91 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.  She was born on May 3, 1931 in Boyne City, Michigan to Walter & Christina (Taylor) Phillips.  Flossie enjoyed quilting, and she was known as the plant lady at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility.  On August 5, 1949 she married Leslie “Yogi” VanAvery and he preceded her in death on September 2, 2003.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers:  Walter, Robert, William, & Rudy Phillips.  Flossie is survived by her children:  William (Nancy) VanAvery, Ric (Jodie) VanAvery, Deb (Larry) Kraley, Pat (Jim) Poe, Gary VanAvery, Cathy (Larry) Adams; 9 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren; brother & sisters:  Richard Phillips, Dorothy Bush, Barbara Benton, Donna (Donald) Maxwell, Dianna Ockaski; sister-in-law, Lois Phillips; and by many nieces & nephews.  There will be a time of visiting with the family at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022.  There will be no funeral service, and interment will be in Clark Cemetery.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
