Francisco “Frank” Esteban Romas, age 77 of Holton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, November 22, 2022 at the Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. He was born on August 17, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Francisco T. & Mary Lou (Clocklin) Romas. Frank was a US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He had been employed by the US Forest Service in White Cloud and California for 10 years, and then he owned & operated Superior Real Estate in Fremont where he was a real estate broker along with his wife Mary “Elaine”. Frank attended Hesperia United Methodist Church, and he was a long time member of the Hesperia American Legion Post. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, and he enjoyed all kinds of music, as well as reading. On July 1, 1967 he married Mary “Elaine” McLellan, and she survives him along with 1 son, Francisco “David” (Jennifer) Romas of Ferndale, MI. He is also survived by his brother, Andy (Diana) Romas of Clarkston, MI.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” (Jim) Stewart of Canadian Lakes, MI.; and by several nieces & nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Harper Romas in 1999; by his parents; and by his brother, Robert Gary Romas. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Hesperia United Methodist Church with Pastor Wayne Brunt officiating. A luncheon and time to visit with the family will immediately follow the service at church. Suggested Memorial: The Parkinson’s Foundation.
