Frank Theodore “Ted” Hoad, age 91 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Saturday morning, January 9, 2021. He was born on April 18, 1929 in Fremont, Michigan to Frank & Hazel May (Price) Hoad. Ted was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and he was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. He had been employed by Gerber Products Company for 29 years until his retirement in 1991. Ted enjoyed bowling and golfing. On August 26, 1949 he married Joyce E. Cahill and she survives him along with 2 children: Tim (Julie) Hoad of Fremont, Tammy Elliott of Fremont; 4 grandchildren: Ashley (Blake) Ensing & Kasey (Matt) Froehle all of Fremont, Miles Elliott of Michigan & Drew Elliott of Florida; 3 great grandchildren: Bowen Ensing, Hayden & Beckham Froehle; and by 1 brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Hoad of White Cloud. Ted was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Dykman & Jean Scott. A combined celebration for the lives of Ted and his daughter, Tamara "Tammy" (Hoad) Elliott, will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021. There will be a time to visit with the family at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home from 1-3 PM, followed by a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont, which will include military honors for Ted.
