Gabriella "Gabby" Elaine Brooks

Gabriella “Gabby” Elaine Brooks, age 18 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, September 13, 2024. She was born on April 12, 2006 in Fremont, Michigan to Matthew and Crystal Brooks. Gabby graduated from Newaygo High School in 2024, was a member of the high school band, the color guard and was drum major her senior year. Gabby worked at Leppinks in Newaygo and she was also attending Muskegon Community College to be an medical assistant. She was very artistic, enjoyed dirt biking, gold prospecting and most recently coaching NHS Color Guard. Gabby is survived by her  parents, Matthew and Crystal Brooks; siblings, Elizabeth “Lizzy” (Zach) Estes, Saria, Bane, and Rhona Brooks; grandparent, Patricia “Patti” Brooks Venneman, Shirley Bowers, and Deb Brooks. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gabby was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dave Brooks, Lee Venneman and Dave Bowers. A celebration of Gabby’s life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Inspire Church in Fremont with Pastor Eric Magner officiating. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 10-12:00 Noon on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Newaygo High School Band.
