Gaylen L. Murray

Gaylen L. Murray, age 82 of Grant, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 20, 2023.  He was born on October 22, 1940 in Lakeview, Michigan to Charles Elon & Viva June (Warner) Murray.  Gaylen retired as a Production Control Manager for Therm-O-Disc in Muskegon, where over his 30 plus years of employment he helped them set up plants in China and Mexico.  He was a beekeeper and a pilot of recreational aircraft, and he enjoyed hunting & fishing.  Gaylen is survived by 3 children:  Kimberly (Steven) Pierce, Brian Murray, Gaylen R. Murray; 6 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his good friend and former spouse, Jeannette; brothers & sister:  Dale (Roberta) Murray, Vandra (Dale) Olger, Chuck Murray; and by many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Myrna Bannen.  According to Gaylen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Wyman, Michigan.  Suggested Memorial:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
