George Albert Bunce, Jr.

George Albert Bunce Jr., age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20, 2022.  He reunited with his wife, Joyce (Karnemaat) Bunce just before their 63rd wedding anniversary where they’ll celebrate together once again - this time in Heaven.  George was a proud Army veteran who served 3 years. He is survived by his children:  Beth & Mel McGrady (Scott & Renee McGrady, Megan & Greg Waldron, Mackenzie & Angelea McGrady, Rachel & Jim Hawley, Wade McGrady), Gary & Jodi Bunce (Geoff & Brittney Bunce, Amanda Bunce), Todd & Trish Bunce (Kevin Bunce & fiance Majerle Anderson, Kelsey & Nick Kamyszek, Kris Bunce), Craig & Donna Bunce (Jacob Bunce, Courtney & Eric Phillips, Caitlyn & Tyler Kroll, Jonah Bunce), Steve & Heather Bunce (Solomon, Hannah, Emma, Ian, & Parker Bunce), Jolynn & Greg Van Wienen (Caleb & Sidney, Grace Van Wienen, Abby & Josh VanKirk, Luke, Lydia, & Ben Van Wienen), Amy Bunce, Kristin & Jonathan Laning (Bryce, Addie & Jack Laning).  George was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce, and his grandson, Seth Van Wienen.  A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont on Thursday, October 27 from 1-2:30pm with a private family graveside service following.  Memorial contributions can be made to Fremont Christian School, Compassionate Heart Ministries, or Starlight Ministries.
