Gerald Royce Du Bois

Gerald Royce Du Bois, age 91 of Fremont & formerly of Grant, went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday morning, January 20, 2022.  He was born on September 26, 1930 in North Carolina to Harvey & Delma Du Bois.  Gerald was a crop and livestock farmer and also had a career of quality control inspector for jet instruments.  He was a faithful member of the Freedom Bible Fellowship.  He enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and making maple syrup.  On September 8, 1951 he married JoAnn Sutake who proceeded him in death on December 2, 2021. He was blessed with 5 children: Gary Du Bois (& wife, Karen) of Grant, Steve Du Bois (& wife, Annette) of Grant, Victor Du Bois (& wife, Jeanette) of Fremont, Sandy Anderson (& husband, Chris) of Morley, Cindy Denhof (& husband, Chuck) of Grant; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and by many nieces & nephews. Gerald was also preceded in death by his grandson, Adam Du Bois; by his son, Gary Du Bois; by his sister, Marable Gugle; and by his brother, Ronald Du Bois.  Cremation has taken place and a graveside burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Ashland Township Cemetery (Just West of Grant on 120th Street).  Urns for Gerald and JoAnn (wife) will be buried together on this day.  A memorial fellowship/luncheon will follow from 2-4 PM at the Grant Wesleyan Church where songs and stories will be shared to celebrate Gerald's life.  Suggested Memorial: Freedom Bible Fellowship.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
