Geraldine "Gerrie" Beverly (Gilbert) Ruzinsky

Geraldine “Gerrie” Beverly Ruzinsky, age 90 of Grant, went Home to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2024.  In addition to being a devoted mother, Gerrie was also an accomplished artist and oil painter, prayer warrior and teacher of The Word. She loved the beauty of spring flowers and the fragrance from the lilac bushes.

She was born on August 25, 1933 in Sparta, Michigan to George and Julia (Hile) Gilbert.  On November 7, 1953 she married William James Ruzinsky and he survives her along with 3 children:  William James & Christine Ruzinsky, Jr. of Loveland, Colorado, Julia Ann Gawron of Newaygo, Pastors Paul & Colleen Ruzinsky of Grant; 6 grandchildren:  Luke Ruzinsky, Ben (Jessica) Ruzinsky, Erin (Alex) Gawron-Hyla, Gregory (Tangela) Gawron, Ernestina “Annie” (Ben) Davis, Duane Ruzinsky; 5 great-grandchildren:  Aila, Owen, Nolana, Noah, & Evolette; and 1 sister, Linda Helton.  Gerrie was preceded in death by her brother Max, and by her sisters Elsie & Goldie. 

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Resonate Church in Newaygo with her son, Pastor Paul Ruzinsky, officiating. Resonate Church is located at 302 E 68th St, Newaygo, MI 49337.  Visitation will also be at the church from 9-10 AM on Saturday.  Interment will be in Bridgeton Township Cemetery.
