Gordon Allen Witte

Gordon Allen Witte, age 88 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, February 8, 2025.  He was born on December 21, 1936 in Fremont, Michigan to John “Bub” & Nella (Klassen) Witte, Jr.  Gord served in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era.  He was a member of Woodville Community Church, and he was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont.  Gord retired as Vice President of Huntington National Bank in Fremont after 43 years of employment, and after his retirement he drove cars for Deur-Speet Motors in Fremont for over 20 years.  He was an avid Fremont Packers fan of the football and basketball programs, and he enjoyed golfing and bowling.  On February 14, 1964 he married Marian Vollema and she survives him along with 2 daughters:  Lynette (Craig) Suchner of Croton, Jonell “Joni” (Kris) Skinner of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren:  Mitchell (Vigif) Suchner, Hannah Suchner, Ethan Skinner, & Elizabeth Skinner; 1 sister, Phyllis Crandell of Fremont; 2 sisters-in-law; and by many nieces & nephews.  Gord was preceded in death by his brother Earl Witte, and by his brother-in-law Richard Crandell.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Brett Werner officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Visitation will also be at the church from 10-11 AM on Saturday. Live Stream of the service will be available on the First Fremont CRC Youtube Page.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
