Harold C. Anthony

Harold C. Anthony, age 95 of Fremont, passed away on Thursday morning, December 1, 2022 at Gerber Hospital in Fremont.  He was born on February 1, 1927 in Ludington, Michigan to Roland & Viola (Brubaker) Anthony.  Harold was a US Army Veteran of World War II.  On June 28, 1947 he married Paula Smith, and together they owned & operated Anthony Orchards for many years.  He had been employed by Michigan Produce Haulers as a truck driver and mechanic, he had been a mechanic at Monette’s car dealership in Holton, and he had worked for Keven Luchies on the farm.  Harold enjoyed making bird houses, and spending winters in Texas.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula, on November 20, 2018; son-in-law, Randy Wolcott in January of 2022; sister, Wanda Anthony; and brothers, Lyle & Roland “Bub” Anthony.  Harold is survived by 3 children:  Diane Wolcott of Gobles, Michigan, Alan (Kathy) Anthony of Wyoming, Michigan, Vicki (Douglas) Alcumbrack of Bitely, Michigan; and by many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  The family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice for the care they provided over the past several days.  To celebrate his life, there will be a time of visiting with the family from 1-3 PM on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home.  Suggested Memorial:  Spectrum Health Hospice.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
