Harry VanderVegte

Harry VanderVegte, age 76 of White Cloud, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 22, 2023 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.  He was born on November 24, 1946 in the Netherlands to Leonard & Jenny VanderVegte.  Harry had been a private carrier truck driver.  He had also owned & operated Fremont Muffler & Brake Shop, and continued to do the same thing at home after selling the business.  Harry enjoyed camping, fishing in Canada, and he loved his old cars.  On February 28, 1986 he married Rosemary Rought and she survives him along with 2 children:  Harry "Butch" (Tammy) VanderVegte, Troy Knapp; 2 granddaughters & 1 great-granddaughter; and several nieces & nephews.  Harry was preceded in death by his parents, and by 1 brother and 1 sister.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Jewell Cemetery.  Suggested Memorials:  The Newaygo County Compassion Home, or Area 5 Special Olympics Michigan.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
