Hazel Moffatte Obituary

Mrs. Hazel D. (Davison) Moffatte, age 95 of Newaygo, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday afternoon, January 10, 2021 from her residence.  She was born on June 3, 1925 in Morley, Michigan to George & Blanche (Winright) Sanford.  Hazel had been employed by Wolverine World Wide, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Fremont.  On May 28, 1977 she married Tharon Moffatte and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2000.  She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers & 4 sisters.  Hazel is survived by her sister, Bea Abbott of Fremont; 5 children:  Evelyn (David) Pifer of Fremont, Leslie (Rosslee) Davison of Newaygo, Larry Davison of Newaygo, Fred Davison of Grand Rapids, Jean (Larry Beery) Davison West Olive; 2 step-children:  Wayne (Maureen) Moffatte of N. Carolina, Sheree (Jeffery) Csire of N. Carolina; and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren.  A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Fremont with Dr. Steve Witter officiating.  You are asked to wear a mask as you enter and as you leave the church.  Interment will be in White Cloud Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Fremont.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
