Helen Wissner, age 89 of Fremont, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, July 14, 2024 from the Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. She was born on September 27, 1934 in Fremont, Michigan to William & Tena (Stevens) Speet. Helen had been employed at Gerber Products Company for 27 years until her retirement in 1990, and she was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. Spending time with family was most important to her, and she made every grandchild feel special. Helen loved jigsaw puzzles, and family game nights. She is survived by 3 children: William (Rebecca) Wissner of Lansing, MI., Beverly (George) Perry of Fremont, MI., Janice (David) Stroven of Fremont, MI.; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Speet of Fremont; and by several nieces, nephews, & cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Glenn Speet, and by her sister & her husband Freda & Ray Pell. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with Pastor Dave Brower officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. There will also be a time of visiting with the family at the church from 1-2 PM on Tuesday. Suggested Memorial: Poppen Hospice Residence.
