Henry C. Mast

Henry C. Mast (Steff), 87 of Newaygo, MI., passed away peacefully at home with loving family at his side on September 27, 2024, after a period of declining health.

Henry was a storeowner for most of his life, and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  He was born in Mount Hope, Ohio on November 18, 1936 to Christ and Orrie (Gingerich) Mast.  On October 31, 1969 he married Mary M. Troyer. 

He is survived by his wife and children, Orrie (Willis) Miller of the home, Reuben (Miriam) of Brutus, MI., Wayne (Fannie) of Stoneboro, PA., Elsie (Joe Schmucker) of Fredericksburg, OH., Henry Jr. (Ruth) of Hawks, MI., Andy (Ida) of Manton, MI., 38 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, a sister Anna (Raymond Miller), sisters-in-law Linda Mast, Debra Mast. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Levi, Andy, Ray and sister-in-law Ada.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Sunday September 29, 2024 at the Levi Zook residence, 4242 S. Ferris Ave, Fremont, MI. with Bishop Ben Troyer officiating.  Burial will follow in the North Newaygo Cemetery.
