Herman Glenn Postema

Herman Glenn Postema, age 91 of Fremont, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023.  He was born on August 12, 1931 in Muskegon, Michigan to Herman & Gertrude (Brown) Postema.  Herm was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and he was a member of the Newaygo VFW Post #4249.  He had owned and worked at the Causeway Pure Service Station in North Muskegon, and then he worked for Consumers Power Company for 32 ½ years until his retirement in 1991.  Herm was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fremont.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Postema, who he married on September 23, 1953; children:  Herman “Glenn” Jr. (Deceased) & Dianne Postema, Allen & Cheryl Postema, Deanna Schneider, Jody & Monica Postema, Susan & Donald Harrington, Belinda & Howard Hansen, Scott & Katie Postema; 22 grandchildren & 40 great grandchildren; sisters: Nancy Brondyke & Mary Postema.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; and by 2 brothers & 5 sisters.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church in Fremont with Pastor Bryan Tanis officiating.  Military Honors will be provided by the Michigan Army National Guard.  There will be a time to visit with the family along with refreshments immediately following the service at church.  Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.  Suggested Memorial:  Faith Baptist Church.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
