Ilene Alice (Fetterley) Witte

Ilene Alice Witte, age 80 of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Corewell Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.  She was born on May 17, 1945 in Fremont, Michigan to Howard E. & Amelia (Walker) Fetterley.  Ilene had worked for the Ark Christian Child Care Center in Fremont for 13 years, and she attended Inspire Church in Fremont.  Ilene loved her birds, and she enjoyed camping and spending winters in Florida and Texas.  On December 12, 1964 she married Jerry W. Witte and he survives her along with 2 children, 8 grandchildren, & 4 great-grandchildren:  Scott (Mishele) Witte of Fremont and their children Aubree (Chaise) Schuiteman and their son Calvin, Austin (fiancée Molly Kooistra) Witte, Amelia “Mia” Witte, Aleeya Witte; Susan (Paul) Vincent of Fremont and their children Paul (Karlie) Vincent, Jr. and their sons Levi & Gavin, Sean Vincent and his daughter Emersyn, Brent (Avery) Tanis, Seth (Taylor Burke) Vincent.  Ilene is also survived by several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law:  Francis Fetterley, Wayne & Marilyn Fetterley.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be a time of remembrance in the Inspire Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, January 10, 2026 led by Pastor Matthew Deprez beginning at 2:00 PM and followed by a time of visiting with the family and luncheon until 4:00 PM.  A private family graveside service will be held in the spring of 2026 at White Cloud Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Susan Mast ALS Foundation.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
